  • Do I need a referral?

    No, you do not need a referral to see our practitioners. Although the client will need a referral from a GP or paediatrician in order to receive a Medicare rebate.


    Please Note: Referrals are only valid for 12 months.

  • What is the Cancellation Policy?

    If you need to cancel or postpone your appointment, please contact our clinic at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment.  


    Office hours are deemed as being between 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

    • If an appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, a 50% appointment fee is applicable.
    • Where an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, or in the event of a non-attendance, the full appointment fee is applicable. 

  • What rebates are available to me?

    The clinic has an EFTPOS/HICAPS machine so that our clients can claim immediately.  Families may be able to access further rebates through:

    • Private Health Funds: Each fund is different. Rebates will depend on which fund the client is with, which practitioner they are seeing and what level of cover they have. Contact your health fund to determine what level of cover you may have.
    • NDIS: Clients with plans through the NDIS are able to receive therapy services through Bold Psychology if they are Plan Managed or Self-Managed.
  • Can I use my NDIS funding?

    Yes, self managed and plan managed NDIS participants with relevant funding are welcome to attend.

  • Will Lexie, the therapy dog be in my session?

    Lexie attends the clinic most days and usually likes to stay in Melissa's room.  You are welcome to request to have Lexie in on your session.

  • How long is a session?

    A session is typically 50-60 minutes.
